Founded in 2009, the Club Jockey du Québec is a non-profit organization, whose mission is to restart the Québec horse racing industry in the province.
The Club obtained the right to organize horse racing wagering in the province from the authorities. Wages from internet, betting parlors and the Hippodrome are all put to profit the industry. Through purses given on racing days at the Trois-Rivières Hippodrome, the profit from wagering finances Québec standardbred breeding and the industry restart.
